Tabitha Anderson

Tabitha Anderson is a BCBA and behavioral health leader who began her professional journey in 2017 while finishing her first master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Through concurrent work as a mental health therapist and a RBT, she recognized the powerful impact of integrating behavioral and mental health perspectives. Rather than choosing one discipline, she intentionally combined both to create a more holistic, human-centered approach to care.

The journey begins by discussing values and how they are an integral part of how one responds to stimuli throughout their day to day activities. Next up is the core process of committed action which identifies how your core values lead to actions that we all take day to day, and the difficulties we each face when moving towards those actions that bring us closer to our values. Finally, we explore the need for staying in the “present moment” to be able to lean into values and take those committed actions to allow full control. All concepts are intertwined with personal level and client focused in ABA practice.

The journey begins by exploring acceptance strategies and how accepting the good and the bad leads to flexibility. Next we explore how negative thoughts can take hold on our minds and actions but with defusion exercises you can diminish the power the negativity has on you. Finally we identify how understanding who you are and who you want to be and reframing ideals to better fit within these concepts is key to becoming a master of all 6 processes and truly understanding ones “self as context”. All concepts are intertwined with personal level and client focused in ABA practice.
