Behavior Assistant Jobs at Team PBS

A Behavior Assistant delivers behavior analysis services directly, one-to-one, in homes and community settings, carrying out treatment designed by a supervising behavior analyst. It is the most accessible way into applied behavior analysis — no prior certification is required — and it is also the role with the most daily contact with the people we serve. If someone outside Team PBS meets this organisation, they usually meet a behavior assistant.

What you'll actually do

You carry out the behavior analysis service plan as designed: arranging the environment so the plan can work, using proactive strategies, teaching and building new skills, and managing specific consequences based on the function of the behavior. You collect and display the data — including graphing — that the analyst reads to revise the plan, monitor how services are landing, and support the analyst in training parents and staff.

Who this role suits

This role suits someone patient, reliable and genuinely interested in the work rather than in a credential. You need a high school diploma and to be 18 or older; experience with autism or special needs helps but is not required, because the training happens here. It suits people considering ABA as a career and wanting to find out from inside the work, and people who want direct impact without plan-design responsibility.
