Skinner, 1971- Understanding the importance of caring and compassionate relationships in ABA supervision and leadership is crucial for delivering sustainable services, fostering workforce satisfaction, and providing effective support to those we serve. This is particularly challenging in light of recent societal issues such as global wars, immigration challenges, political upheaval, and rising mental health needs. Human behavior influences these problems and must also factor into solutions, as we all share the responsibility to drive change. Regardless of our diverse perspectives, addressing today’s challenges and preserving dignity for future generations requires reflection on our past learning experiences. It's essential to create mutually reinforcing interactions built on genuine care and empathy for those around us.

Performance management skills are necessary for effective supervision, especially in behavior analysis. Thankfully, behavior analysis is full of tools that include assessment, feedback, coaching, etc. all derived from performance management systems. In this talk, Kristen Serwecki will do a dive into the Performance Diagnostic Checklist – Human Services (PDC-HS) and share some of it’s practical uses as well as the research to support it’s use.

Performance diagnostic tools exist to address specific concerns related to employee performances. Unfortunately, safety is one of the areas where employees and businesses are most directly impacted. Thankfully, we have the opportunity to safely and effectively assess the safety behaviors of employees.
