Behaviour Assistant services involve direct support activities that contribute to the delivery of behaviour analysis services, as outlined in an individual’s behaviour analysis service plan. These services may include monitoring the implementation of behaviour strategies, carrying out behavioural procedures to teach replacement skills and reduce challenging behaviours, and collecting and presenting data (including charts and graphs) as authorized within the service plan.

Behaviour Assistants also play an important role in supporting the Behaviour Analyst by assisting with the training of parents, caregivers, and staff. Their work helps ensure that behavioural interventions are delivered consistently, ethically, and in alignment with the individual’s goals.
