About

I have been working with individuals with disabilities and those who support them for over 25 years. I earned my bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Special Education, and I have been a BCBA since 2005. My professional roles include special education teacher, general education teacher, inclusion specialist, early intervention provider, Associate Director of the Florida Atlantic University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, Professor of Special Education at Winthrop University, and consultant for various school districts. I authored three books and a multitude of peer reviewed journal articles focusing on the topics of autism spectrum disorders, inclusion, applied behavior analysis, PBIS, MTSS, differentiated instruction, and co-teaching, I am now serving as a PBS Corporation Senior Analyst in the Charlotte, NC region working with others to improve outcomes and the quality of life of individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families.
